What’s upgraded courtesy car cover?

Our comprehensive car insurance includes a small hatchback courtesy car as standard. It’s provided while your car is with a Prima-approved repairer. 

But if you add upgraded courtesy car cover (also known as guaranteed hire car cover), you’ll get a temporary replacement vehicle that’s:

• Also provided if your car’s stolen or written off, not just during repairs
• A near match of your own car, rather than a small hatchback

You'll get it for up to 14 days.

How to add upgraded courtesy car cover

You'll see the option to add upgraded courtesy car cover when you buy or renew your car insurance with us. (You might also see it named as guaranteed hire car cover. But rest assured that this is exactly the same cover.)

For now, you can't add this cover mid-way through your policy.
