Do you offer breakdown cover?
Yes.
We’ve partnered with the RAC to allow you to add optional breakdown cover to your Prima car insurance.
Choose from four breakdown cover plans:
- Roadside
With this plan, you get:
- Unlimited call outs: Call us whenever you break down over a quarter of a mile from home.
- Unlimited roadside labour: If we can, we’ll fix your car at the roadside at no extra cost.
- Towing to a safe place: If we can’t fix your car, we’ll tow you up to 10 miles or to a safe place.
- Misfuel rescue: If you fill up wrong, we’ll provide a tank flush and 10 litres of correct fuel.
- Taxi from the garage: If your car’s left at a garage, get a taxi to anywhere within 20 miles.
- Roadside & Recovery
With this plan, you get:
- Everything in Roadside
- UK-wide recovery: If we can’t fix your car, we’ll take you, your car and passengers anywhere you choose in the UK.
- Roadside, Recovery & Onward Travel
With this plan, you get:
- Everything in Roadside & Recovery
- Unlimited home assistance: Call us whenever you break down within a quarter of a mile from home.
- Longer repair cover: If your car needs a longer repair, get a hotel stay or alternative transport for you and your passengers.
- European Motoring Assistance
With this plan, you get:
- Everything in Roadside, Recovery & Onward Travel
- Overseas cover: Cover in all EU and some non-EU countries in Europe.
- Car repatriation: If you’re abroad and your car can’t be fixed by your return to the UK, we’ll cover costs to get it back (up to its market value).
How to add breakdown cover to your policy
You'll see the option to add one of our breakdown cover plans when:
- You first buy your Prima car insurance
- You come to renew your policy
For now, you can't add it mid-way through your policy.
