Will I get a courtesy car?
We know how important it is to keep you on the road.
So if your car is damaged in an accident, we’ll provide you with a courtesy car while it’s with a Prima-approved repairer.
How long you’ll get a courtesy car
We’ll aim to provide you with a courtesy car from the time repair work starts on your own car until the time it’s done.
What type of courtesy car you’ll get
Your courtesy car will usually be a small hatchback (unless you paid for upgraded courtesy car cover).
When you won’t get a courtesy car
With our comprehensive car insurance, we can only provide a courtesy car while yours is getting fixed by a Prima-approved repairer.
Unfortunately, we can’t provide a courtesy car if:
- You use a repairer that’s not approved by us
- Your car is deemed beyond economic repair (or written off)
- Your car is stolen
- Your car is only in for a windscreen or glass repair
If you choose our upgraded courtesy car cover
Like we said, we include a courtesy car with our comprehensive car insurance as standard. But when you take out your policy, you can pay extra for our upgraded courtesy car cover.
If you upgraded, you’ll get a courtesy car that’s:
- Just like what you usually drive, rather than a small hatchback
- Also provided if your car's stolen or written off, not just during repairs
- Guaranteed for up to 14 days
