Can I change the day you take my car insurance payment each month?

Yes. 
 

How you do this depends on who provides your finance and collects your payments each month. This will either be Close Brothers or Abound, depending on when you took out your Prima car insurance. 

(Not sure if you’re with Abound or Close Brothers? Check your inbox to see who emailed you when you first took out your Prima policy. Alternatively, check who appears on your bank statement.)

If Abound collects your monthly payments

If you’re with Abound, you’ll need to contact them to change your payment date.

If Close Brothers collects your monthly payments
 

If you’re with Close Brothers, you can usually bring your payment day forward or push it back by up to 14 days. This is so long as:

• You tell us at least five working days before your next scheduled payment

• You’ve already paid at least one direct debit instalment
