What happens if I miss a monthly payment?

To keep you insured, we’ll need to get your payments quickly back on track. 

Here’s what we’ll do:

  1. We’ll try to take the payment again.

Our premium finance partner, Close Brothers, will automatically try to take the missed payment again 10 days later. They’ll also add a £25 late payment fee.

  1. If that fails, we’ll give you one last chance.

We’ll give you until 21 days after your initial missed payment to pay Close Brothers what you owe. You can do this by calling 0333 321 8568

  1. If you still don’t pay, we’ll sadly have to cancel your policy.

This means you’ll no longer be insured to drive your car. You’ll still need to pay Close Brothers what you owe, along with a £15 cancellation fee (this is instead of the £25 late payment fee). They’ll write to you explaining the next steps.
